When I first started researching Savant Syndrome, I thought I'd probably learn something that ruled out the possibility that I'm a savant. Instead, the more I have learned, the more likely it seems. Since I already did all the legwork of researching this fascinating and poorly understood phenomenon, I thought I'd share what I've learned with anyone who is interested.
Most of what I learned about Savant Syndrome comes from the research of Dr. Darold A. Treffert, MD, a clinical professor at the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison, Wisconsin, and articles he has written about other researchers who are studying Savant Syndrome.
